Job Summary:
This position offers a unique opportunity to lead transformative learning initiatives within a complex and dynamic organization. The Training Manager will lead the strategic development and execution of comprehensive training programs across San Miguel Foods. Reporting to the Organization and People Development (OPD) Manager, this role is critical in driving a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence. The Org Dev & Training Manager will oversee the design, delivery, and evaluation of leadership, technical, and compliance training initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry standards. As a member of the OPD team, this role will also mentor training partners to high-level talent development strategies, fostering a skilled and engaged workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
> Strategic Leadership in Training and Development
- Collaborate with the OPD Manager and Learning Champions to develop and implement the organization's overarching training and development strategy.
- Lead the design and execution of company-wide learning initiatives that address current and future workforce capabilities.
- Align training programs with the company’s strategic objectives, values, and operational needs.
> Program Design and Delivery
- Manage the creation of leadership development programs to build a strong pipeline of future leaders.
- Oversee the development and delivery of technical, operational, and compliance training programs across multiple sites.
- Ensure training content is innovative, engaging, and tailored to diverse learning styles and business needs.
> Analysis and Program Evaluation
- Conduct comprehensive training needs assessments at organizational, departmental, and individual levels.
- Design evaluation frameworks to measure the impact of training programs on performance, compliance, and business outcomes.
- Use data-driven insights to continuously improve training programs and address skills gaps.
> Compliance and Industry Standards
- Ensure all training programs meet food manufacturing industry regulations and standards, including HACCP, GMP, FDA, OSHA, and other relevant guidelines.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance, Safety, and Operations teams to integrate compliance training into operational workflows.
- Maintain accurate records of training participation and certifications for audit purposes.
> Team Leadership and Mentorship
- Mentor training team members, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
- Build the capacity of the training team to deliver high-quality programs across the organization.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative culture within the training function.
> Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration
- Partner with senior leaders, functional heads, and HR teams to identify training priorities and deliver impactful solutions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business units on learning and development best practices.
- Manage relationships with external training providers, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality services.
> Technology and Innovation
- Oversee the implementation and optimization of learning management systems (LMS) to support efficient delivery and tracking of training programs.
- Explore and integrate new learning technologies, including e-learning, virtual reality (VR), and gamification, to enhance training experiences.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in training and development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in the food manufacturing industry or a similar regulatory-driven environment.
- Advanced proficiency in LMS platforms and digital learning tools.
- Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD), Kirkpatrick, or similar credentials preferred.
- Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certifications are advantageous.
