Title:  Technical Specialist

The Technical Specialist – Steam Generation Systems is responsible for the assessment, evaluation, and continuous improvement of steam-generating units and associated systems across all San Miguel Foods plants and facilities nationwide. The role provides expert-level advice and technical support to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operation of steam systems either fuel fired or solid fired. He/she plays a key role in identifying and resolving system issues, supporting the preparation and implementation of CAPEX projects, and standardizing operation and maintenance procedures. The role also involves the delivery of technical training on steam power piping, boiler operations, hot water systems, deaerators, and water treatment components such as softeners, with the goal of improving plant performance, safety, and regulatory compliance across all sites.

Education/Licensure/Certification:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical field is required.
• Additional technical certifications related to boiler operation, steam system management, or energy management are highly desirable.
• Boiler Operation License or equivalent certification recognized by Philippine authorities (e.g., DOLE Boiler Inspector Certification) is preferred.
• Safety certifications such as First Aid, Occupational Health and Safety Training are advantageous.

Work Experience/Exposure:

• Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in steam system operation and maintenance, preferably in food manufacturing or heavy industry.
• Proven experience in troubleshooting steam boilers, steam distribution, condensate recovery, and energy optimization projects.
