Title: Production Engineer
Mandaue, Cebu (AMB0)
Feed Milling Operations
Responsibility: Supports in the operation of the production shift to deliver quality feeds and/or processed raw materials in safe and sanitary work conditions with a highly engaged team and third-party partners coordination, within set cost goals, standard processes, and sufficient quantities on time to meet or exceed stakeholders’ expectations.
Main Tasks:

Feed Mill
-
Executes production plans considering the availability of inputs such as but not limited to input materials, manpower requirements, equipment, associated utilities, and computer network and software.
-
Initiates the movement of needed inputs to the production process. Operates conveying system to move materials to the desired location.
-
Executes the startup, operation, troubleshooting, and shutdown of all production equipment and associated utilities to transform inputs into the final product.
-
Controls the transformation process by monitoring critical parameters, analyzing results of monitoring, and initiating improvement action.
-
Prepares distributes and when needed, revises documented information at every stage in the production process.
-
Controls the process improvements by employing the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control) process.
-
Evaluates the performance of production and the related utilities, including the performance of service providers to meet the desired level of performance. Analyzes results of the evaluation and formulate improvement action.

Participates in the formulating an action plan to achieve the highest efficiency in terms of:

energy management,
-
shrink control,
-
throughput optimization, and
-
inventory control
-
Premix Plant
-
Executes the production schedule for the shift and determines the adequacy of production inputs for a smooth production process.
-
Requests for the needed materials from the warehouseman. Ascertains the correctness of withdrawn material quantity and inspects the integrity of the packaging. Reports nonconformities noted to the Production Supervisor.

Coordinates with the Production Engineer-Conveying on the schedule of carrier pre-grinding operation.
-
Operates the pre-grinding system following the parameters set for the different types of carriers.

Oversees the pouring of weighed materials for the batch and ensures that the barcodes are scanned before pouring.
-
Operates the mixing system – V blender or batch mixer. Ensures conformity with the mixing standards.
-
Ensures proper labeling of finished premixes.
-
Prepares all needed production reports.
Equipment Maintenance & Instrument Calibration
Responsibility: Ensures that equipment is available and in good condition at all timesMain Tasks:
-
Inspects the maintenance status of all equipment, utilities, and software to ensure the highest performance of machines. Creates a work request to the concerned service provider, any equipment, utility, or software found to have any anomalous observation.

Inspects the calibration status of measuring and test equipment to ensure conformity with the required accuracy and precision. Calls the attention of the service provider for uncalibrated or unverified instruments.

Conducts preventive maintenance activities, particularly cleaning, re-tightening of bolts, and others.
Quality, Productivity, Efficiency, and Cost
Responsibility: Ascertains quality product and efficient production operationsMain Tasks:

Define optimum process parameters that ensure the highest productivity.
-
Make necessary adjustments to processes when input variation tends to change the quality attributes of output.
-
Provide root cause analysis and appropriate action to nonconforming products and unmet process targets. Implements actions and verifies their effectiveness.
-
Leads in the implementation of GMP in all production staff and service providers.
-
Leads in risks and opportunities analysis in the production processes including risk treatment.
-
Participates in internal audits either as auditor or auditee. Attends to external audits in the root cause analysis and corrective action formulation and implementation.
Environment, Health, and Safety
Responsibility: Ensure safety and healthy environmentMain Task:
-
Leads in compliance with Environment, Safety, and Health policies by wearing the prescribed PPEs in hazardous areas. Enforces Environment, Safety, and Health protocols to all persons inside production.

Assists in the Hazard identification, analysis, and control through HIRAC.
-
Assists in establishing and updating Job Safety Analysis on all production personnel.
-
Assists in the investigation of accidents and near-misses in the production area and ensures their nonrecurrence.
WORKING CONDITION:
-
Exposure to moderate levels of particulates in the air, moderate noise level
-
Required to render duty on night shift alternating with the day shift.
