Title: Maintenance Technician-Electrical
Limay, Bataan (ADC1), Philippines
- Reports his presence of work to his immediate supervisor at the start of the working day.
- Receives instructions from his immediate supervisor and understands his work assignment for the day.
- Consults his immediate supervisor on the best ways and means to employ him in order to accomplish his work in the most efficient, reliable and economical manner.
- Assumes full responsibility and accountability for all the tools and equipment permanently issued to him as well as those temporarily issued to him.
- Lists down and withdraws from the warehouse all the materials that would be needed by his work assignment following withdrawal procedures.
- Accomplishes and secures approval of work permits on jobs following the IMS procedure.
- For field jobs, checks with Unit Supervisors and/or Operations Technician concerned on the disconnection/isolation of electrical equipment to be worked on before starting any work.
- Performs his work in the most efficient and workman-like manner observing relevant safety procedures and making sure that the cause of the problem is known and corrected.
- If the cause of the problem cannot be determined consult with and gets assistance from his immediate supervisor.
- Ensures that the time of casual laborers (if any) assigned to assist him is well utilized.
- Stays on the job and does not attend to other business or activities not connected in his work assignment without the knowledge of his supervisors.
- After completion of work, cleans the repaired equipment and does housekeeping on the job site.
- Reinstalls or puts back in process the repaired equipment and cleans the equipment area of the excess materials, scrap, bolt/nuts, etc.
- Turns over the repaired equipment to the Unit Supervisor or his representative.
- Witnesses the start up or commissioning of the repaired equipment to make sure that problem has been corrected, and the equipment is operating properly to the satisfaction of its caretaker.
- Does further adjustment, hot bolting, tuning or calibration as necessary.
- Reworks the equipment, as necessary if the problem is not yet corrected.
- Accomplishes the equipment maintenance records for file and future reference and submits same to his immediate supervisor to signify completion of his job.
- For a job lasting for more than one day, keeps his supervisor well informed on the progress of his work and on any related problems.
- Gives suggestions/recommendations to his supervisor on how to further improve working conditions/and enhancement of productivity.
At least Technical school graduate, preferably Engineering graduate (Electrical and ECE).
