Description:
- Leads reliability and incident investigations for “bad actor” instrumentation, facilitate root cause failure analysis, and providing recommendations for improvement based on thorough analysis and economic evaluation.
- Performs instrumentation system condition assessments to develop shutdown or turnaround scopes, estimates, and departmental budget items or reliability improvement projects.
- Reviews continuously the refinery’s instrumentation standards and initiates changes as required which are compliant to instrumentation and control best practices.
- Makes control system hardware systems feasibility studies, prepares cost estimates of proposed projects, changes and revisions to existing instrumentation control hardware, software and programs.
- Prepares and updates the documentation of completed instrumentation system in accordance with the standards documentation requirements and turns over completed projects to users for actual production runs.
- Develops and recommends plans for the efficient implementation of control and instrumentation for all project type.
