  1. PROCESS INSPECTION

 

  • Inspects and evaluates, following the required specifications, ALL seamed cans per line, prior to start-up of canning operations

 

  • After evaluation of seamed cans, provides clearance for production run (only when all samples per seamer are found to be within specifications, will the Sampler allow the line to run.

 

Below are the sampling procedures:

 

  • Collects representative samples per hour (28 samples @ hot line & 12 samples @ cold line). A total of 280 samples at Hot line (by 2 Samplers), and 120 samples at Cold line (by 1 Sampler). 

 

  • If there will be cans found to be out of specifications, Samplers are Authorized to STOP the line, so mechanics can adjust the seamers

 

  • Sets-up machine parameters and operates machines in the absence of Production Engineer

 

  • Troubleshoots/helps the Filler Machine operators set-up the filler machines in order to achieve the desired fill weight in cans.  It is critical that correct weight is filled in the cans.

 

  • Prepares Daily/regular Reports on seamer profile and analyzes if there are issues gathered from the profile.

 

 

 

  1. OTHERS

 

  • Checks quality paramaters (eg loaf shape of the Luncheon Meat per batch to ensure that they are within the standard. 

 

  • Regularly discusses quality issues with Production Supervisor/Manager or can suppliers, the latter as needed

 

  • Conducts sensory evaluation of raw materials as well as finished goods, as needed

 

  • Trains new samplers on inspection/sampling procedures and preparation of reports
