Title: Facilities Engineer

- PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

- BUILDING MAINTENANCE
- Performs preventive and corrective maintenance and repairs on buildings facilities such as handwash lavatory units, Handryers, showers, faucets, doors, doorknobs, door closers, sensor and non-sensor type waterclosets, urinals, lavatories, canteen facilities, etc.
- In the repair, check-up and maintenance of machineries and equipment, ensures the use, handling and storage of chemicals, agents, ingredients and supplies that are compliant with the company’s/plant’s QEM standards.
- Conducts regular inspection of building/s.
- Designs, fabricates and modifies machine parts when necessary using machine shop equipments such as lathe machine, surface grinder, milling machine, electric drill, arc/gas and tig welding and follows all required safety practices.
- Conducts periodic check-up and servicing of building facilities/units.
- Dismantles equipment and its sub-parts such as FCU, fan motors, pumps, etc., for overhauling.
- Aligns pumps, motors, pulleys, and other mechanical parts that needs critical adjustments
- Tests and installs building equipment and machine.
- Performs operation of electrical and mechanical machines on buildings, facilities and related structures.
- Operates material handling equipment if need arises.
- Identifies parts for replacement and refers to supervisor for purchase requisition if not available in our warehouse
- Withdraws parts/consumables needed to accomplish the job.
- Logs daily activities and accomplishes work orders.
- Complies with and performs procedures and instructions prescribed by the company’s/plant’s Quality, Food Safety/HACCP and Environment Management standards and government regulations. Ensures implementation of proper waste segregation and disposal procedures, conservation of resources and pollution prevention programs.
- Observes Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures and workplace safety regulations and emergency preparedness programs (e.g. chemical spill response, ammonia leak response, fire safety).
- Complies with company rules and regulations and observes professional decorum at all times.
- Performs other tasks that may be assigned as deemed necessary by the supervisor from time to time.
