 Job Summary: Refrigeration Engineer is responsible for the availability, reliability, and utilization of the refrigeration system of a regulatory-compliant poultry processing plant. The position focuses on implementing maintenance programs, coordinating and planning of resources, and ensuring compliance with environment, health, safety, and sanitation requirements. Activities include formulating and communicating engineering solutions, technical innovations, and plant improvements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implements company policies, communicates protocols, ensures compliance with standards, collaborates with teams, and prepares operational plans and budgets.  

  • Oversees maintenance programs, ensures spare part availability, schedules work orders, inspects progress, and minimizes downtime.  

  • Audits systems, identifies and resolves operational issues, and tests new technologies for process and cost improvements.  

  • Manages hazard prevention, emergency response, sanitation, and food safety protocols.  

  • Identifies training needs, participates in skill-building programs, and applies learning to enhance performance and competence.  

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Must be a licensed Mechanical Engineer or related engineering field.  

  • Minimum of 2 years in industrial refrigeration systems.  

  • Monitors and evaluates site operations and maintenance by service providers.

  • Interprets technical documents, including blueprints and schematics, for refrigeration systems.

  • Skilled in troubleshooting, repairing, and interpreting blueprints and schematics for refrigeration and electrical systems.  

  • With Strong analytical skills to identify issues and implement cost-effective solutions.  

  • Excellent oral and written skills to explain complex technical issues effectively.
